Early Watch Chain Enamel Slides Yellow Gold marked 14k c. 1910
This is an exceptional item from the past – a gentleman’s watch chain that measures 12” long and weighs 22 grams. It consists of two chains each of which is very intricate in design. There are two slides each 7/8” that are engraved and also enameled in a light blue turquoise deco flower design. The caps at the ends of the chains are also enameled in the same design. There is a tiny stone in each slide that looks like a moonstone. The slides do actually move on the chain with a little push. Both the swivel clip and the spring clasp work fine. The piece is marked 14k on the T bar. Using a 10x jeweler’s loupe I see a bit of very slight wear to the enamel due to age. Otherwise, the item is in remarkable condition. This is a perfect item, perhaps a gift, for someone who loves these very old treasures from the past.
