This is a superb example of Ridgway salt glaze. The piece measures 8 inches tall. Raised bell shaped flowers with raised leaves in shades of pink, brown and blue decorate a white ground. Wonderful old salt glaze pitcher in amazing condition with no real damage. There is some crackling on the inside which is typical of old glaze and an apparent hairline also on the inside that is not structural and does not detract. Ridgway was made in the Staffordshire district of England beginning in 1808. The pitcher dates to c. 1850.
