This is an old brass pin that measures 1 inch across and weighs 4 grams. There is a right facing Romanesque soldier head done in relief. Eight very intricate leaves extend to form a border and each includes a tiny fleur de lis with beadwork. On the back there is a very old c clasp with a slightly extended pin and a shortened tube hinge. The fittings work well and there is plenty of patina that I will leave to the new owner to clean if desired. We believe the pin probably dates to the late 1800s. This is a fascinating old piece.
