This fabulous bar pin is from the Edwardian or Belle Epoque era. The filigree work is most intricate and very lovely. The pin measures 2 1/5 inches long by ¼ inches at the widest part. A 1/4 inch faceted rectangular blue stone, probably a sapphire as was popular at the time, forms a central focus. The pin is marked 14k. My jeweler confirmed that covering the top is a layer of platinum. There is an old locking clasp that works well. The pin is in very good condition with no visible damage and just a slight bend to the pin. You will treasure this item from the Beautiful Era, 1890-1920.
