A lovely antique Nippon Japan hand painted porcelain vase with a beautiful sailboat scene which dates to the early 1900's. It features a hand painted nautical scene with sailboats and the atmosphere is tranquil. It has a matte background and is decorated with the pastel colors of soft blue, lavender, green gold, brown, yellow and muted rose. The vase has gold handles and trim is painted with raised gold beading on the top. It measures approx. 6 1/4" height and 4 1/2" wide. The condition of this item is very good without any visible cracks or chips, minimal wear. There are some iron specks due to the firing of the kiln. On the base it is marked in green, Hand Painted Nippon and the letter M.
