An outstanding, unique and rare albumen photograph of a parade celebration during the Fourth of July in Texas, circa 1910. The photograph depicts a patriotic parade scene, with a small group of people in a vehicle, driving on a road in town. There is an image couple in the front seat and they are dressed in fine attire. In the back of the vehicle, there is a small band dressed in historical costumes playing different instruments. The vehicle is decorated with numerous American flags. In the background stands the Imperial Hotel and on the side of the building is painted a large Coca Cola advertisement. At the top of the next building is a faint image of a bull. The photograph captures amazing and captivating images of this period of history in Texas. It would be a great addition for a photography collection related to Texas history. This item was acquired from an estate in Texas. The actual black and white photo measures approx. 8 1/2" length and 6 1/4" height. The albumen photo is mounted and measures approx. 12" length and 10" height. The condition is very good, with minimal wear. The images are clear and crisp. On the back, it is printed, original.
