This is a photographic view during the early 1900's, of Madison Park, which is located in Seattle, Washington. It features a great image of a woman with a black dog by her side and two small horses. In the background, there is a sign which reads, Pioneer Washington. Directly underneath the photo, written in pen, it reads, Madison Park, October 15, 1905, Seattle Washington. During the late 19th century Madison Park was a popular beach area, with floating bandstands, steamboats and gambling etc. The photograph is a wonderful view into this period of history in the Seattle location. The penmanship beneath the photo enhances the photo and it would be a great in a frame. The condition of this item is good, with only one small corner in the lower right being creased or repaired. Most likely, this small photo was originally from a scrapbook. Dimensions: It measures approx. 6 1/4" in length and 2 2/4" in height, which includes the lower paper with writing.
