This little gem is an 8" Kestner doll with a bisque head on her tiny original jointed composition body. She is faintly marked with the number 111 which most think of as a googly doll; however years ago I read an article about these little 111 dolls and the author stated that these rare dolls can be found on all bisque, composition, and even tiny leather bodies. Her bisque head is perfect, with beautiful painting, blue sleep eyes that work great, and an open mouth with 3 little square teeth, 2 above and 1 below. Her blond wig is original and although messy on the inside one can see remnants of the plaster pate. Her composition body is jointed at shoulders, hips and knees. She wears an artist-made, adorable outfit consisting of pink and white dress, full slip, pantaloons, lacy socks and leather shoes, along with a matching mob cap.
The only issues to note are hands that look repaired, and discoloration and some scuffing on her legs. Email me any time for more pictures or information--she truly is a doll who would be a star in your collection.
