The dome-topped stones are banded by two narrow straps of silver. High quality hinged links. Oval faces are accented at top and bottom by trios of half-balls or bubbles. Domed stones are are accented on either side by applied scroll work.
Marked with one of the very early marks - Del Rio Hecho en Mexico arranged in an oval around 0.925 with Sterling stamped below that on the box clasp. The Del Rio portion is difficult to make out but it's there when you get it at the right angle.
Del Rio is one of the early silversmiths, considered one of the great early designers from the Spratling era.
