Great Tiffany & Co. large sterling Serving/Meat Fork in the classic San Lorenzo pattern. This simple but elegant pattern was produced first in 1916, with handle reverse stamp displaying the Tiffany & Co., Sterling and m date mark corresponding to the John C. Moore period of 1907-1947. The handle design is architectural in style, as the handle tip is reminiscent of the roof outline of a classical building; directly below is an elongated blank shield cartouche with ribbon scroll on each side, all inside a simple bordered rectangle. Handle reverse contains the same spoon tip design, but with a rosette motif directly below. Remainder of handle on both sides is comprised of a simple stitch border, ending in a shell/scroll. Substantial size and weight at 93 grams/3 oz troy and 8 3/4 inches in length. No monogram. Other than age related light wear and a couple of the tines with slight irregularities (no bends or crimps)- piece is in great condition, and would make a wonderful gift or server for vegetables, meat dishes, or any dish requiring use of a large sterling serving fork.
