Nice vintage Art Deco era sterling silver sugar shaker/muffineer by Knowles, c. 1930's. Standing 7 1/4 inches tall, the shaker has a classic paneled baluster shape, tapering down to a paneled foot with a diameter of 2 1/2 inches. Piece weighs 78 grams/2.5 oz troy. This one is a bit different than the others we will be listing in that there is a hole in the bottom of the foot to place your powdered sugar-or more popular- scented powder when used as a vanity piece-we replaced the old cork with a fitted piece of shaped foam rubber, but a new cork would be an easy fix if desired. Bottom of the foot contains the Knowles stamp and Sterling. Shaker is in excellent condition, with only 1 pin tip sized nick to the body-essentially unnoticeable. No monogram. A wonderful gift or addition to a sterling service or vanity set.
