This porcelain “knick-knack” is from Kyle’s first collection that started in 1952 with his grandmother’s gift of a ducky figurine. After all, he was her “little ducky.” The collection grew over the next decade with more gifts and personal purchases. Most of these nice vintage pieces were made in Japan. Also, many of these have a “K” written on the bottom in black marker, put there by his mother when she packed the collection up some 40 years ago. They are ready for the next generation to be collected and enjoyed. Most examples are perfect or near perfect.
These four fawns appear to be on their own but keep together for company. Each is marked “Japan” and they range from 2 3/8 t 2 ¾” tall. I know two have repaired ears but you may be able to remove the 1950s glue with a better modern type and the group looks so cute together I didn't want to break them up. Love the group as they.
