An unusual 1976 Bicentennial souvenir, this frosted clear glass covered footed jar features an eagle finial. The sides are decorated with relief molded portraits of Washington, Jefferson, John Adams and Benjamin Franklin. Molded inside the foot is "USA Bicentennial Commemorative - 1776-1976." At the center of the foot is a round floral stamp framed by "National Council of Garden Clubs."
This was part of a special order produced by Fenton Art Glass. It stands 7 3/4 inches high overall and is 4 inches in diameter at the rim. The lid has some very minor interior rim flakes.
