Raised grapes and grape leaves all around, and on lid and finial as well. Beaded edge. Lots of details! Excellent condition. No chips, cracks, or repairs. Marked inside the lid and on the base.
The Westmoreland Glass Company was founded in 1889 when a group of men from the Specialty Glass Company in East Liverpool, Ohio, migrated to Grapeville, Pennsylvania. Its main production was pressed glass tableware lines, mustard jars, and candy containers. The company went out of business in 1984 and was sold for $75,000 to George Synder who converted the property into a storage facility. Milk glass was produced stating in the 1940's.
