Offering a silver bracelet that is Chinese made for the China market. You can see in the last frame the maker's hallmark in Chinese script. This is a 800 or better silver bracelet made in China in the late 1800. Chinese silver is some of my favorite silver. There is no clasp, no hinge. It is a D-shaped hollow slide on bangle weighing a comfortable and sturdy 41.9 grams. You can see a dimple at the interior side of the bangle in the second slide. This is not noticeable while wearing and not visible from the front. The dimple is a common sign of wear. The decorations include flowers, Buddha's Hand fruit and butterflies. Light signs of wear as to be expected with age and use. Abrasion to interior where it may have been tested at some point. Highly collectible and sought after. This would make a welcomed addition to your collection!
The wall of the bracelet is 1/2" tall. The inner diameter is 2.5" X 2.25". The inner circumference measures 7.5 inches, a medium wrist size. The smooth bracelet sits comfortably on the wrist because of its unusual D shape.
The silver bracelet has not been cleaned or shined. I will leave that up to the buyer's discretion. Some folks like a bright silver, some like to reveal a bracelet's age by keeping its well-earned patina. I prefer silver to be shown off; where the outlines of the pattern still stand out from the natural patina but the high points of the silver are brighter from the conservative use of a polishing cloth.
