Offering a pair of well tailored Art Deco Sapphire, Cultured Pearl, and Diamond earrings from the 1930's in tested 18 karat yellow and white gold. Immaculate condition. Well matched mined sapphires, cultured pearls with lots of glow to the nacre. Small sparkling prong set round brilliant diamonds run throughout the Deco design terminating in pave set diamonds around the larger bezel set whole pearl towards the bottom of the earrings. The diamonds are flanked with mille grain edge and 18 karat white gold throughout. These bi-metal earrings are typical of the 1930's Deco Era. The bezel set pearl at the top is a whole button pearl and sits more flush on the lobe.
The design is wonderful. There are three invisible joints situated along the narrow diamond / sapphire upper portion to give the earrings fluid movement. The earrings measure 2" tall X 5/8" wide. A great length for these Deco dreams! Their weight is a comfortable and sturdy 13.4 grams. The two final pictures are the reverse of each earring being shown in turn. No surprises here! The quality is very good when the reverse of an earring is as beautifully finished as the front.
The (most likely) original heavy duty butterfly backs are each marked 750 (for 18 karat yellow gold). See closeup. The earrings also tested well for 18 karat. No other hallmarks were found. There are no repairs to these earrings and there are no repairs necessary. No chips or cracked stones. Pearls are beautiful.
I offer a convenient two month Lay Away plan. It requires 1/3 down to initiate your lay away and two equal monthly payments thereafter. Your earrings will be shipped soon after your final payment has been made.
I ship quickly and carefully.
