Offering an Edwardian era diamond pendant from the early 1900's. There is a count of 50 diamonds, the largest being 5mm or 25 points (1/4 carat). There are 5 large bezel set Old European Cut diamonds and the balance are bead set and bezel set rose cut diamonds. Mille grain work on all edges is meticulously finished. The center five diamonds move independently of the surround. A very pretty piece in excellent condition.
The gold pendant tests at 18 karat and the 16" modern chain is 14 karat gold. The pin is marked 750 (see frame #5) for 18 karat. The front of the pendant is white gold to show off the diamonds and the reverse of the pendant including the pin and clasp is yellow gold. Both clasps work well; the chain's spring clasp as well as the rollover clasp of the brooch. Total weight is 9.9 grams. The pendant alone is 8.9 grams. The pendant measures 1 3/8" wide X 1 2/8" tall.
All diamonds are sparkling and eye clean, no chips, cracks, or carbon marks. The diamonds all look to be original to the piece, very similar in cut and high grade clarity, and none are missing. A stunning and elegant pendant that will make a welcomed addition to your fine collection! Please ask all questions prior to placing an order. Thank you!
