Offering a camphor glass enamel necklace with a diamond at center. Very Art Deco in style and color, its green and black enamel is in excellent condition, no chips or scratches. The 15.5 inch original chain has a design that runs all the way to the clasp. The design is on the front and back of each sturdy hollow link. The well-working clasp is marked 14K. The V-shaped filigree drop keeps the face of the pendant from twisting or turning so that you can always enjoy the sparkly little ten point diamond and Art Deco embellishments. There are no scratches on the camphor glass, enamel, or 14 karat surface.
The crystal camphor glass is engraved on the back side to give the distinct impression of diamond reflections. These engravings are more pronounced with a dark background but it is also fun to wear against the skin to see your own tone's effect on the pendant. Camphor glass jewelry was a very popular style of the 1920's, now very exciting to collect and wear. It is much more unusual to find camphor glass jewelry with enamel elements to its design.
The chain measures 15.5 inches and the oval pendant measures 1.25" including the small bail. The entire drop measures 2.25". Each link in the double sided decorative chain measures about 1/4 inch. The pendant and chain weigh a sturdy 9.4 grams.
The final shot shows the reverse of pendant and chain. There are no kinks, knots, or repairs to this piece. As you can see, the design on the chain is mirrored on the reverse!
