Offering a 1940's era synthetic Alexandrite necklace in Rose Gold. The alexandrite drop includes generous sized stones from 9.5mm to 12mm. The drop measures 4" across from one triangular stay to the other. There is a 3" drop down from the triangular stays. The necklace includes a 14 Karat yellow gold chain from the triangular stays to the well working spring clasp.
The necklace weighs 31 grams. The stones are in excellent condition. Alexandrites are amazing gemstones for jewelry because faceted gems undergo a dramatic color change in different types of light. I am offering a necklace of color change synthetic alexandrites that change from a blue-green by daylight to a beautiful red-violet by artificial light. Lab grown crystals have higher perfection than is usually seen in natural stones. They are more easily affordable as well. Natural alexandrite is so rare that few people have ever seen one and its value is on par with emeralds, rubies, and sapphires. I am able to offer this necklace at a fraction of the cost.
There are no repairs to the necklace other than the replacement neck chain of herringbone pattern in 14 Karat gold. This makes the necklace 20 inches long in its entirety. There are no hallmarks to the piece other than the numbers on the clasp (585) that indicate it is 14 karat gold.
Please let me know if you would like to use my convenient lay away system in order to purchase this alexandrite necklace. Ask all questions prior to placing an order! Thanks!
