From what I have researched. This santa is most probably from the 1920s. He is definitely a vintage piece. (Not quite yet antique, but he's close!)
The handpainted mask is really beautiful. You do not see that type of workmanship anymore.
The red fabric is matte. The fur is synthetic. There are a few spots here and there that you can see in the photos.
The boots seem to be made of chalk and have some crazing and scuffs.
It feels like he is stuffed with sawdust.
He is pretty sturdy and leaned against my boards to take the photo. I doubt he could stand on his own and would need a stand or support.
Everything looks original. There do not appear to be any repairs.
He is 27" tall and 11" across his shoulders.
