This cloisonné midcentury enamel box is made by Kathe Ruckenbrod from Pforzheim Germany. Kathe Ruckenbrod apprenticed in one of the oldest enamel studios in Neckar Valley Germany. This covered box or as referred to a "can" is in great condition, no chips, cracks or enamel stress marks.... There are two places just at the top edge that look to be drilled. Why I do not know but it does not take away from the significance of the box. Made in Germany is the only signature. This handsome city box is 3 7/8" wide by 3 1/8" tall with a brilliant orange enameled interior. This city is detailed and so charming. A stunning piece for your collection. I have another City box in a lilac enamel and have included a picture of the two pieces. Please email with any questions and Thank you for shopping Vintage Indulgence.
