Dinner plates, salad plates, cups, vases and different sized ginger jars were made in this pattern. Ginger jars originated in China. They were often given as gifts. The white ginger was traditionally given as a wedding gift. This jar has no chips or cracks. The Otagiri trademark and the pattern name are on the bottom.
