Here is a miniature tray hand painted with the Rome Georgia Clock Tower. This locally famous building is the official symbol for Rome. The tall clock tower was built in the 1870s on a hill near downtown Rome, and can be seen easily when entering the downtown area.
The beautiful painting is by Joyce Nolen, long-time resident of Rome, who passed away a few years ago. She was an expert at china painting and her works have been highly collected. The painting of the clock tower is professionally done and is permanent.
The painting is on white china ceramic, and on each side of the tray, there are scroll-like features that have been painted pink and then stippled in metallic gold.
The decorative tray comes with a clear plastic stand and an informational card. The mini tray is in perfect condition, and has been used only for display.
