Here is a Boyds Folkstone called "Prudence ... Daffodils" that features a tall lady bunny holding a small rabbit, and with a cluster of yellow daffodils in her apron. Her straw hat is also decorated with daffodils. This resin figurine is painted in soft Springtime colors and would make a terrific item for Easter decorating. The details on each bunny are extraordinary.
This Folkstone is a 1E (First Edition) number 25. It is difficult to find early Boyds figures with low numbers like this. When Boyds was a privately held company in the 1990s, the first 50 figurines in the First Edition were held for employees; these first figures were exceptionally well painted. The bottom of the figure is shown and this one is a 1E, the version most serious collectors look for.
This "Prudence ... Daffodils" is in perfect condition, and will come in the original box with the Boyds certificate of authenticity. This colorful hand painted resin figurine was introduced in 1997 and retired in 1999. The painting is vibrant and very well done, with lots of fun details.
Boyds Collection figurines have been highly collected since their introductions. "Prudence ... Daffodils" is referenced in the 2001 "Collector's Value Guide" by CheckerBee Publishing Co.
