This Harmony Kingdom box figurine is called "Joie De Vivre" and features a golden-winged angel with a group of rabbits at her feet; they are enjoying life. This is the third version of this figure, and the head is facing up. The first and second versions of this angel had the head turned downward towards the rabbits. Carved by master carver, David Lawrence, "Joie De Vivre" is part of the original Angelique Series. Inside of the box is a pink butterfly.

This particular angel is rare in that she is painted with more color than later versions. The Angelique Series had many changes within each version, and many of the changes were not recorded so it is possible to find an angel that is very different. This angel box figurine is wearing a pale blue robe, with golden wings. The rabbits are painted a light gray.

The various hallmarks are found along the base of the angel's neck, and the angel's name, Gabriella, is written on the hem of her robe. This cute angel was released in 1996 and was available for only two years before it was retired. The sculpture and details on this graceful box figurine are remarkable!

This "Joie De Vivre" is in perfect condition, no chips or breaks, and it will come in the original Harmony Kingdom Angelique blue box with certificate and information card. As you might see by the photos, the top does not fit tightly on the bottom part; this is not unusual for the early angels.

Harmony Kingdom boxes are hand crafted, using marble resin, from original carvings. Then each is hand painted and tinted for a one-of-a-kind figurine. The boxes are hand painted by citizens of the rural English countryside of the South Cotswolds. There are differences in colorations on each piece.
