This gorgeous Fenton Art Glass French Opalescent ornament is mouth blown by glass artist Ron Hinkle of West Virginia. Ron has used his glassmaking skills to create the classic Christmas Tree ball shape, finished with a delicate loop of applied glass. The ornament has milky opalescent stripes going around the shape.
This French Opalescent ornament features a hand painted design called "Winter Aura", with a peaceful scene of a church nestled in snow and trees, and accented with sparkling glitter. On the back, the ornament is signed by the talented Fenton artist, along with an "F" and "USA", because it was not possible to stamp a blown item with the Fenton logo. The artist is L. Everson.
This French Opalescent ornament was introduced in Fall 2009 as a limited edition, and it was retired within three months of its release. This lovely example of art glass is referenced in "Fenton Art Glass: A Centennial of Glass Making 1907-2007 and Beyond", 2nd Edition, by Debbie and Randy Coe.
This beautiful ornament is in perfect condition, no chips or cracks, first quality glass, from the inventory of a closed store. The silver Fenton sticker is attached to the side. It has never been displayed, and will come in the original Fenton Glass box, along with an informational card about Ron Hinkle. This ornament was all hand crafted in the USA in West Virginia.
SIZE: 4.5 inches in diameter.
