What a fabulous find for the serious collector of coin silver!
This 6 1/4" long 3 tine coin silver pastry or pie fork is in an engine turned and engraved pattern typical of the patterns Watts produced in the 1860s. This piece is by James Watts of Philadelphia, and it is possibly in the Buckle and Shield pattern. The details are amazing, and I love the engraving on the tines. The front is monogrammed S, and the back H L S. This piece is in extremely good condition.
