I am truly intrigued by this stunning all Sterling silver shoe horn!
This rare Sterling souvenir from the 1896 Third Panel Sheriff's Dinner at the Savoy Hotel in New York City is a real show stopper. The top features an American flag, a New York flag and the state seal, all in beautiful detail. The business end is engraved as shown. This piece measures 7" long, is marked for Dominick and Haff, and is in extremely good condition.
Evidently, the Sheriff's Jury performed jury duties for no pay and gathered for a yearly banquet. Information is sparse, but the menus and guest lists from these galas are available.
