This is a rare and extra special item for your special collection!
This wonderful English sterling silver "tussie mussie" or posy is made to hold a small bouquet of flowers. It is on a chain and has a finger ring, so it can be worn a number of ways...on a chain, a chatelaine, or held on the finger of the lady. The tussie mussie is cone shaped. It has a hinged lid. The inside is gold washed. There are some small dents in the soft silver to remind us that this wonderful piece has been used for over 100 years. Also, the top does not close completely. This piece is fully hallmarked for Chester 1911-12. It measures 9 5/8" long including the chain and 5" long without the chain.
