This is an outstanding example of Victorian Aesthetic movement American sterling silver! It is 8 1/4" long and in the magnificent ca 1880 Patrician pattern by Joseph Seymour. As is often the case, with early silver, it is stamped sterling without the maker's mark. The blade is stunning with a wealth of aesthetic style engraving. The blade is slightly curved, so it could be used to serve a wide variety of foods. The front of the handle is monogrammed A, and the back is engraved Flora. This piece needs a thorough polishing and cleaning but is otherwise in extremely good condition. A rare find!
