This Circa 1900 match safe features a very detailed Indian face on the front of the safe along with decorative repousse work. The back also has decorative repousse work along with a lightly monogrammed cartouche. The Indian on the front is depicted with great detail.
Marks: STERLING G on the front lip for F.S. Gilbert of North Attleboro, Massachusetts. They were out of business before 1915. Also marked STERLING on the rear lip
Size: 2 1/2" x 1 1/2"
Condition: Very good to excellent - Hinge works fine; opens and closes well.
