Today we are offering this pair of sweet antique bisque head dolls. Both were made in Germany and because they were purchased together, I believe that they should stay together. The little girl is an 1896 C.O.D. shoulder head. She measures approx. 11 1/2" tall. She has bisque hands will all fingers present Her body is a kid leather with gussets. She has had a repair to her right hip as you will see in the photographs. Her hair is made of mohair and is fashioned into two pigtails. She does have a firing flaw at the back of her head. It does not go through and you will see that is a squiggly line. She comes dressed in a pretty pink prairie dress, and slip. Her shoes are sewn onto her body.
The little boy is actually an Alma by A.M.. He is approx. 10" tall. He is a shoulder head with bisque hands and a leather body. He has had a repair on the right knee at the seam. He has a blond mohair wig which covers a hairline on his forehead. He comes dressed in a little suit and white shirt. His socks and shoes are sewn onto his body.
They are very cute and display well.
