Today we are offering this sweet 21" turned head antique German paper mache head doll by F. S. Schilling. She has a turned paper mache shoulder head, replaced lower leather arms with mitten hands and stuffed muslin legs. Her body is in very nice condition for it's age, as is her head. She does have some paint wear, but nothing out of the ordinary. Her composition does not appear to be lifting, but there is one light in the paint at the neck line. She wears a honey colored mohair wig. She has been black lit and her lips appear to have been touched up. She also has a nose rub. At the back of her head, you will see a little angel stamp, which is the trade mark for F.S. Schilling. She comes dressed in antique pantaloons, an antique half slip and an antique white lawn dress. All of these items appear to fit her very well. Either they were made for her or they were her original clothes. They will need laundering as they have gotten a bit dingy over the years.
