Today we are offering this very pretty antique 28" Jutta doll. She was made by Simon Halbig for Cuno, Otto, and Dressel and is marked "1349 Jutta S & H" on the back of the head. Her bisque head is excellent with no chips, cracks, breaks, hairlines or repairs. She does have some wig pulls. Her wig is an antique brown mohair, which looks very nice with her coloring. She has blushed cheeks, an open mouth with 4 teeth. Her pink lips have darker shading lines. She has blue stationary eyes, which appear to have been reset and delicately painted upper and lower lashes. She has earring holes with no chips or flakes and will come with the earrings she is currently wearing. She has a very nice, fully jointed wood and composition body. The body is sound with some paint loss, repaint in areas, and the hands appear to be replacements. There is some wear to the joints. The body retains most of the original finish and is strung tightly and she can hold all poses.
Her dress is antique and looks beautiful on her. It has lots of lace and cut work. It may need a laundering. Underneath her darling lawn dress, she is wearing a pair of cotton pantaloons, an antique slip with shoulder button enclosures, pretty antique stockings and shoes.
