Dating this dish, which is one of two that I have for sale, is a bit difficult but we know free hand painted Worcester was eliminated about 1880, luxury wares with this level detail were a small part of the overall business prior to the first Royal service being produced around 1870. I feel confident dating this item to about 1775. The scale blue ground is underglaze with the balance of the decoration being overglaze.
This dish exhibits everything you would expect early English soft paste porcelain - then glaze rests on the surface and pools in the corner of the foot ring which is fully glazed. There is mild crazing and surface bumps.
The condition is excellent with no chips, cracks or repairs, there is gold wear along with some surface abrasion because... its old.
Measures 11" long and 7 11/16" wide.
