Sensational Art Deco style runway statement collar necklace and earrings from the 1980s feature dazzling pavé set multi-color crystal rhinestones (à la designer Richard Kerr) and white Diamanté stones in hammered gold-tone metal.
The necklace design is built around triangular pyramids of intense color rising above clear crystal Diamanté. The colors are hot pink, turquoise, deep purple, teal green, cherry red, peridot green, raspberry pink, brilliant blue and deep topaz. The necklace is constructed in hinged sections of hammered gold-tone metal. It is a weighty piece attesting to its well-crafted construction. The pierced earrings feature a single pyramid in beautiful cherry red dangling from a large brilliant bezel-set clear rhinestone.
Condition is near mint with just a few age spots on the metal of the necklace back. One earring post is a little crooked but is still perfectly wearable.
This set is unsigned, but was obviously created by a talented designer. It would have been a flawless accessory for either Alexis or Krystle on the 80s hit show, Dynasty. Imagine what a statement this set will make with a little black dress, a white dressy suit or a solid color cocktail dress. You will be the star of the show with no chance of anyone upstaging your stunning jewelry!
MEASUREMENTS: The necklace is adjustable from approx. 19” to 22” in length and 1-5/8” at its widest point. The earrings are approx. 1-7/8” in length x 5/8” in width.
