~ Andy Warhol "Soup Can" & Autograph, From The Estate Of Helen Wheels ~
The autograph is on the front of an invitation for The 'Downtown Dukes & Divas' at The Limelight Club, New York.
The card is signed & dedicated to the front in blue marker pen 'To Helen Andy Warhol' with a sketch of his iconic Campbell soup can with quirky text reading "Rock n Roll Non Tomato Soup".
The rear is dated July 15th and stamped in red at the bottom right hand corner "From the estate of Helen Wheels".
The Limelight club was one of the most vibrant and influential Clubs of the Punk Rock Scene in the 1980's and is still running today.
The evening's line up included Helen Wheels, Joy Askew, Martee Lebow, Sylvain Sylvain amongst others.
~ Helen Wheels ~
From 1976-1986, Wheels wrote lyrics on five Blue Oyster Cult LP's all released on CBS. She received two gold and one platinum album from RIAA for this work. From 1977-1987, Wheels performed extensively with the Helen Wheels Band in the tri-state and northeastern US, managing and booking the band, making promotional appearances on college radio stations and cable TV. She and her band were nominated in the first ever New York City Music awards. Wheel went on to perform in theatre, screenplays and had numerous television roles.

The piece is in very good condition. There is one very small crease to the top left corner.

The piece is on an A5 thin card invitation print in blue and red on both sides. 8.5 inches (21.5cm)by 5.5 inches (14cm).
