~ Large Frys Cocoa Enamel On Steel Advertising Sign – Early 20th Century ~

A fantastic original and quite rare, large size enamel advertising sign for J.S Fry & Sons concentrated cocoa powder.

The sign is of enamel over steel sheet construction and dates to the early part of the 20th century.

It features an image of a cocoa tin with the tag-line ‘Use Fry’s Pure Concentrated Cocoa’.

Height - 60 inches (152.5cm)

Width – 36 inches (91.5cm)

~ Condition ~

As can be seen in the accompanying images, the sign has wear to the enamel.

There are some areas of metal loss, both from …erosion and from previous mountings (some small drill holes and a couple of small
clipped out areas to the edge).

The sign in general though is sturdy and considering its age is still in a good condition.
