~ 1945 Single Draw Telescope By W. Ottway & Co. ~

A nice quality WW2 single draw military telescope by the London manufacturers W. Ottway & Co.

The telescope has a brass draw and barrel. It has a bakelite eyepiece.

The barrel is inscribed: ‘W. Ottway & Co Ltd, Ealing, London, 1945, No. 1503, NP46’ with the military broad arrow above. It is also marked ‘PATT. 12100’.

It is marked ‘1503’ on the eyepiece.

~ Dimensions ~

The telescope measures 28.25 inches (71.7 cm) closed and 35 inches (89cm) when fully deployed.

At its widest, it measures 3 inches (7.5 cm) in diameter.

It weighs 1.54Kg

~ Condition ~

There are one or two very slight dents to the barrel (pictured).

Aside from some other general light wear from previous use the telescope is in a very good condition.

The telescope would most likely have come with a lens cap originally but this is not present.
