This Slate and Pyrite Specimen was found in Charlevoix Michigan.
It is a Lake Michigan Slate and Pyrite Bloom Specimen that was carefully air dried to
Prevent Separation in the Slate.
This was done the way of The Old Miners, and all that was used was Sunlight,
The Breeze and a Wicker Basket to protect the Slate.
There is a wonderful Pyrite Bloom that is flat, and filled with millions of microscopic
Pyrite crystals that formed when the Hot Metal hit the Mud, aeons ago,
To see this under a microscope or Magnifying glass is almost a spiritual experience.
Millions of years later, this Beauty appeared on the shore at the edge of Lake Michigan.
Charlevoix/Antrim County Line , Norwood.
The measurements are 6.5 inches by 5 inches by 1 inch to 1/4 inch at the thinnest part.
Comes with a Collectors card and free shipping.
A great Designers piece, it has a Dramatic Presence.
