Antique sterling silver sovereign case in the shape of a pocket watch. It was made by Birmingham silversmith, E.J Houlston, in 1911. Both sides are decorated with leaf patterns, with a blank cartouche on one of the sides. It is hinged and opens from the top with a push button. There is a loop at the top which can be used to hold a chain or to attach to a fob chain.

The case weighs 13.15 grams. The piece opens to reveal a hallmark on the interior of the lid. The section for a gold coin is also hallmarked. The case diameter, excluding the push button section, is 1 1/8inches. There are minor dents consistent with age.

Postage and insurance are included in the price.
