Here are two miniature fob seals from the late Georgian and mid Victorian eras respectively. The first is an ornately decorated gold cased fob with a white chalcedony gemstone set on the base, incised with a bird flying and carrying an envelope in its beak. It is 6/7th inches high. The second fob seal is a simpler fluted design, with engraving along the sides. It is gold plated and there is some loss to the gold at the bottom of the fob seal. It has a bloodstone intaglio, with an incised gothic letter. It is 5/8th inches high.
The two seals are attached to a small antique faceted split ring, 8mm in diameter, 12k yellow gold (tested). The split ring can be attached easily to a chain to wear the ring and seals as a pendant. The total weight is 4.24 grams.
Postage and insurance are included in the purchase price.
