This lovely piece was made in the 1960s, in the style of the early Victorian snake necklets that were so popular. The centerpiece is a blue enamel snake head set with small freshwater pearls and small red glass eyes. The snake is holding an enamelled heart-shaped locket in its mouth. It is also set with freshwater pearls.
It is in immaculate condition. The locket opens and closes firmly. The back of the locket and the snake’s head are plain. The chain is a smooth snake-link chain and the clasp is a tongue that slides into the snake’s head. The necklace is made of 18kt gold plated silver (tested). The necklace weighs 25 grams and is 17 inches long.
Postage and insurance are included in the price.
