This a very rare, hard to find advertising fan by Édouard HALOUZE (1895-1958) for Irroy Champagne in excellent condition. (In my search I had found one in a European museum but I can't locate it again.) Circa 1925, the fan has a lovely display of diners dancing and drinking Ernest Irroy Brut Reims champagne in gorgeous pastel colors and Art Deco dress. The back, also beautiful, has the crest of Irroy and the name in large lavish script extending across . On the side is printed V. Espi Eventailliste who was the paper fan maker. On the front on the side it is signed Édouard Halouze. The wood sticks are perfect and the fan has no tears or discolor, it was beautifully preserved by the family for close to 100 years and measures 10" long. What a lovely display for New Years Eve and perhaps a discriminating gift for an art lover/ Champagne aficionado.
