This is a gorgeous antique Victorian christening coat for a large doll. The lace cape itself is worth the entire piece. The coat is a padded ivory silk widely covered with lovely embroidery all around the bottom of flowers and vines. The best part of the coat is the attached gorgeous lace and silk cape that has a wide lace collar which falls over the cape. On the cape there are alternating rows of lace and silk and a wide scalloped lace hem. The wide collar lace matches the cape flounce on the bottom.
The measurements are 8.5" across the shoulders, 8.5" from the shoulder to the hem, and 33" from the shoulder top the hem. As to condition, there is a small section of frayed silk under the top button and a couple of spots on the inside of the lining which is not seen. it's actually in excellent condition.
