This is an 11" long, handle to top of spout, early Wedgwood teapot. It measures 7 1/2" tall from the base to the top of the King Charles Spaniel's head on the lid. It looks like he is resting on a pillow on top the lid. The color is a cream/pale yellow done in a smear ware glaze. This molded teapot has prunus blossoms in the relief. Wedgwood is the maker, circa 1820's The handle, lid and base have no chips. This lovely teapot is in excellent condition.
