This 1820's medium blue platter is 17 1/4" long by 13 1/4" wide. It depicts a draped figure seated on a plinth amid ruins. There is a figure to the right and two more figures looking up at the philosopher. The scene is crisp and clear and is another great example of 1800's transfer. The potter is unknown. The platter is in mint condition.
