We recently purchased a collection of tea strainers and I am just beginning to put them up here on Ruby Lane. This one is American made, large, marked Sterling 7, and has one dent about 1/2 inches long in the bowl of the strainer. It weighs 66 grams and measures 7 1/2 inches from tip to tip. The diameter of the strainer bowl is 3 inches. I photographed it in a teacup (not included) so you can get an idea of the size, it is large. Thanks for stopping by. Questions are always welcome.
A very kind shopper recently contacted me to tell me he has the very same strainer and that his was made by Currier and Roby Silversmiths who were active in NY from 1900 to 1943. Thank you to any and all who take the time to share their knowledge. Happy shopping.
