Wilder Pickard's story dates back to 1893 when he established the company in Edgerton, Wisconsin. At the turn of the 20th century, Pickard moved to Chicago where the company specialized in hand-painted art pieces, dessert and tea sets. Wilder's son, Austin Pickard, joined the business in the late 1920's.
The gold encrusted hand painted salt and pepper shakers are 3" tall and have hexagonal sides. There is no distinct pattern, more of a speckled effect. The salt and pepper shakers are in good condition with no cracks or chips.
