Prepare to bring out your fall and (shudder) winter clothes. Give them those finishing touches to rid them of any small bits of unsightly debris with this vintage clothes whisk. The leather case was manufactured by Amity of West Bend Wisconsin. Amity was for years the largest manufacturer of leather wallets in the United States. They began business in 1915 and continued until 1996 when foreign competition forced them out of business.
The case is marked with the Amity name and "GOAT" for the type of leather. The whisk has no markings. The brush is in good usable shape. There is some loss of finish on the plastic handle which indicates that the whisk requires no breaking in period--see photos. The overall dimensions of the encased brush are 5" by 2 1/2." This item would be a nice addition to your vanity items, or it would be a wonderful gift for your gentleman's gentleman.
